Here is the latest update for you on our activities since the last newsletter in June.

Our next Production: dates for your diary
Auditions were held last week for the autumn production, “Waiting for Gateaux” by Ed Waugh and Trevor Wood. These are the same writers who created “Dirty Dusting”. It is another comedy and will be very enjoyable.

Kate Jackson, vice president, is directing it and the cast will be as follows:
Maureen: Eileen Audas
Jackie: Carmel Rogers
Donald: Paul Baker
Raven: Veronica del Cero
Sophie: Beverley Stonehewer
Rachel Armstrong, Ruth Baldwin and Anna Clara Power will appear in an additional dance exercise scene.
Sandra Sprawson will be the producer, with Maretta Ragnarrson as the Stage Manager and Diana King, vice president, as the Prompt.

The performance dates will be Friday 20th, Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd November 2015. Full details will be circulated nearer the time.

It’s our 40th Anniversary
We will be celebrating 40 years since the International Theatre Group was created in September 1975. Full details have been circulated about the celebration dinner on the 3rd October at El Campanario. We hope you will be able to join us to share memories, enjoy good food and live music.

Email Blunder…Sorry!
We must apologise as we inadvertently sent out the full email details to everyone about the 40th celebration dinner. We usually do this by blind copy but this time, by accident, we didn’t. Thank you to those who alerted us. Sincere apologies, it won’t happen again.

Find us on Facebook
If you are a Facebook user you can now see our new Facebook page: International Theatre Studio Marbella. We decided at a Board meeting that this might be a good way to attract some new and possibly younger members. Please let us know what you think of it and like it.

New Board member
Andrew Gommersall, who you may remember from “The Last Bread Pudding”, has been asked to join the Board. We are delighted that he accepted. His appointment will, of course, be subject to ratification at the next Annual General Meeting.

Possibly a new Hallowe’en Murder Mystery!
Two members, Veronica and Andrew, are writing a Murder Mystery with a view to ITS performing this on 31st October. Watch this space for more information re: auditions and venues.

Something a bit different: Rehearsed Play Readings
At the last annual General meeting it was mentioned that we should start rehearsed play readings again. The Board has this on their agenda and details will follow soon.

Bar El Candil in San Pedro
We are very fortunate to be able to use the upstairs room in this bar in the centre of San Pedro at no cost to ITS. We hold our monthly Board meetings, auditions and some rehearsals there, you can see how much money we save by their generosity. At the moment, Alfonso’s father in law is seriously ill so we kindly ask please that you keep his family in your thoughts.

Best wishes,
Carol Woolnoth, President.
