We hope this newsletter finds you well and happy. We have a lovely line up of events to take you into the summer! Please read on to find the dates for your calendar.

The International Theatre Studio website
We have a new website! Our talented webmaster, Nina, has worked hard on our behalf making sure that it works just as well on a mobile as it does on a laptop. We also have a new online ticket booking system. She has made the site simpler, clearer and easier to navigate; we hope you think so too. A huge thank you goes to Nina for all her work.

Thanks too to Alan Jones for all his fabulous photographs, which Nina has used on each page.

The Lark in the Park
On Sunday 4th June 2017 we will be holding our annual outdoor charity event in the Parque Leonera in Benahavis, courtesy of the Benahavis Town Hall. Our charity this year is Age Concern: Estepona.

We will start at 6.30 pm with by a one act play directed by Martin Curd, his directorial debut. This will be “Last Tango in Benahavis” by David Tristram starring Andrew Gommersall, Eileen Audas, Miles Rendle and Rachel Armstrong.

During the interval we will have our picnic and then the second half is a musical extravaganza with Stella, Sam Oliver and Karen Danzig. A chance to dance at this point!

Admission is by donation for the charity, we suggest a minimum of 13€ per person. You may book your place online on our website or via one of our usual outlets: Time in Spain in Estepona Port, Viva in San Pedro or Cath’s Cards in Benavista. Or you may pay at the door on the night.

You will need to bring your picnic and refreshments plus picnic blankets or table and chairs, plus cushions for the amphitheatre steps and of course your dancing shoes!

A staged play reading/rehearsed play reading

We are delighted that Peter Brooks has offered to direct a staged play reading on Thursday 29th June 2017 at the The Atalaya Park Hotel. Staged play readings have costumes but no set and the cast have their scripts. More details about the play and the cast will follow asap.

Our autumn production
Diana King will be directing the next major production and she is holding auditions on Wednesday 12th July. We will send out the exact details nearer the time but please put the date in your diary. We are very fortunate to be able to use The Atalaya Park Hotel again for this event before they close for a major refurbishment project. Thank you to the hotel for this opportunity.

The dates for the autumn production will be Friday 20th, Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd October 2017.

A future play reading

Andrew Gommersall has offered to lead a play reading on Tues 12th September, another date for your diary!

I would like to wish you all a happy and enjoyable spring into a wonderful summer.
