We hope you had a very enjoyable summer and are now enjoying the delights of the early autumn weather.

Our autumn offering is fabulous yet again, please come along and join us. All the dates are in red so you don’t miss anything!

Our autumn production

We are into the last few days of rehearsals for “Haywire” written by Eric Chappell and directed by Diana King. The performance dates will be Friday 20th, Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd October 2017 at The Atalaya Park Hotel in their Mayoral Discoteca.

Tickets are now on sale for this comedy. You can buy them online or at the usual outlets: Viva in San Pedro, Time in Spain in Estepona Port or Cath’s Cards in Benavista. Or you can ring 639 265 424 (evenings and weekends only please) to reserve your tickets.

We have a great cast lined up with some of our regular faces Russell Hood, Eileen Audas and Carol Woolnoth plus newcomers Rebecca Flowerdew, Chloe Quinlan and Theo Wilkins. It is great to have new actors joining our productions and we are delighted. Theo stepped into the rehearsal schedule late in proceedings when the previous cast member had to pull out.

Rose’ at the Atalaya Park Hotel

The one-woman performance of “Rose” with Bobbye Aaron in late September was a great success. Over 180 people came along to see this show. Bobbye left the audience moved and at times in tears! The content was both thought provoking and interesting and she delivered it superbly. Her ability to retain the whole script in her head for two acts was amazing. We had lots of positive feedback, thank you to everyone who came along.

Membership of ITS

The annual membership fees are now overdue for 2017 so if you haven’t paid, please do so at one of our next events or pay online via our website. The fee is still only 10 € a year, which is incredible value and allows you to access discounted ticket prices. If you join as a couple it is only 15 €. What are you waiting for?

Currently we have 38 single memberships, 43 double memberships and six lifetime members. These figures simply do not reflect the fantastic support we have from our audiences when we regularly perform to over 300 people.

Please consider becoming a member!

Our next play reading

Jamie and Beverley Stonehewer have kindly offered to lead the next play reading event on Wednesday 22nd November 2017 at El Candil Bar in San Pedro.

We will be reading two short plays. This is your opportunity to have fun and read a part or to simply sit, listen and enjoy.

These are events are always well supported; there is no charge and no need to book. Arrival is 7.30 pm for an 8 pm start.

Potential Board Members

Miles Rendle and Russell Hood have been invited to attend the ITS Board meetings with a view to them becoming full Board members. We are delighted to have them both and they bring a wealth of business experience, expertise and enthusiasm with them.

Our Christmas celebration

Tuesday 19th December 2017 is the date of our very special Christmas celebration. Veronica del Cerro and Andrew Gommersall are once again organising the entertainment and, courtesy of Neil at Urban Chai in San Pedro, we will have a beautiful meal to complement the evening. The details with prices, times and menus will be circulated nearer the time. We need at minimum of 30 guests to make this a viable event so please put this in your diary now and round up some friends to join us! Thanks.

More advance dates for your diaries

We already have two more play readings/rehearsed play readings organised for 2018. So in order to help you plan your nights out or your flights home and away, here they are:

* A play reading on Weds 24th January 2018 organised by Miles Rendle

* A rehearsed play reading on Weds 21st February 2018 directed by Martin Curd and Russell Hood

* Our Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be on Weds 7th March 2018.

* And the performance dates for our spring production will be: 16th, 17th and 18th March 2018.

We look forward to seeing you at one of our events soon. Thank you as always for your continued support.
