Here is our latest update on what we are doing.

Our next event is on Wednesday 15th November 2023
Tickets are on sale now on our website! Numbers are limited so please book early.

Miles Rendle will be leading a play reading and supper evening on Wednesday 15 th November 2023 at the Atalaya Golf and Country Club. We will be meeting at 6.30 pm for a 7pm start.

Tickets are 8€ per person for ITS members and 10 € for non-members. This includes half a pizza and one drink.

Play reading evenings are your opportunity to read a part in a play out loud in a group in public. It is great fun. If you are thinking about auditioning for any future plays, this is a good time to practise and to make your intentions clear.
Alternatively, you can simply sit, listen and enjoy the readings.

An Acting Lab
One of our members, Veronica del Cerro, is offering weekly acting sessions on the four Wednesday afternoons in November from 3.30 pm to 5.30 pm at the Age Concern Centre in San Pedro. These start on Wednesday 8th November.

The group will be small with between four and eight people. It will be a weekly session exploring the world of acting through the vocal and physical lens, games, and scene/character work: A relaxed but focused time, diving a bit deeper into the world of acting. All experience levels are welcome.

The weekly cost is 10€ for ITS members and 15€ for non-members. If you are interested, please contact Veronica immediately by email using This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

At the end of this email, you will find details of Veronica’s background and experience.

Our charity calendar
For the first time, we have produced a fun, novelty 2024 calendar for charity. Some of our talented and wonderful International Theatre Studio actors have volunteered to participate to raise money for a brilliant charity called the Elena Gaite Foundation (Fundacion Elena Gaite). This charity was set up by the family and friends of Elena as a tribute to her. She was a devoted mother and wife, much loved by her whole family, who sadly lost her long battle to cancer in 2020. The charity raises money for local charities and worthy causes such as Cudeca, Debra for children with Butterfly Skin, Avol, and more.

The calendars are all sponsored by local companies, as follows: La Sala, the Hogan Stand, European Printers, Benahavis Babes, Tanya Hall, Marbella Netball Club, Deseos Florist, Time in Spain Holidays, Sudz Laundry,Tango Holiday Solutions, El Banco Tapas Bar, BHP Blackhorse Property, and the Froome family.

The photographs in the calendar were all taken by Alan Jones, our resident volunteer photographer. He might be an amateur but he is absolutely awesome with a camera. Almost all the images on our website are his. His photographs of Paloma Salgado, Hannah Murray, Sheila Mellor, Sue Hall, Beverley Stonehewer, Fiona Poole, Eleanor Schuman, Janet Barnett, Joan Foster, Samantha Weaver, and Delia Maresz are stunning and will certainly cheer up your days in 2024!  These will make great gifts, not least for Christmas.

All the photographs were taken by Alan on location with all the lovely ladies in Estepona, in the sea-front home of Fiona Poole. Fiona also designed and produced the calendar.

The calendars will be available at each of our future events for a minimum donation of 10€. Please bring the correct change if you can on the night you intend to purchase one. Huge thanks in anticipation.
