Happy New Year to you and your family.

Our charity calendars for 2024
Following the successful sale of the charity calendars since October, the lovely ladies in the calendar will be presenting an initial giant-sized cheque of 4000€ to the Elena Gaite Foundation on 9th January 2024 at La Sala. The local press has been invited to attend. We still have a few calendars left and you can buy these at our 17.1.24 event or from any of the ITS committee members. We ask for a minimum donation of 10€ per calendar.

Wednesday 17th January 2024
We open 2024 with a rehearsed play reading on Wednesday 17th January 2024 at the El Trapiche Cultural Centre theatre in San Pedro. Doors open at 7.30 pm with curtain up at 8pm. We are performing the Last of the Red Hot Lovers by Neil Simon.

It is an American comedy written in 1969, and it later became a film. It is acclaimed as a "very funny play" and we have some of our best comic actors in this production, jointly directed by Martin Curd and Paloma Salgado. With Paul Baker as Barney, Hannah Murray as Elaine, Beverley Stonehewer as Bobbi and Eileen Audas as Jeanette, you are guaranteed an evening of laughter.

The synopsis is:
Barney Cashman is a successful New York restaurant owner and family man who, after 32 years of marriage, decides it's high time for him to have an affair. Taking advantage of his mother's empty apartment, he attempts to lure various women over for sex, but his efforts prove more than a little bumbling. A hard-living type openly derides him, a young actress proves too insane and his best friend's wife is offended by the very idea.

Tickets can be booked online. We are asking for donations for this event, 10€ per person for ITS Members and 12€ for non-members.

The venue is very comfortable, with on street car parking. It is not licensed but we will be able to sell some drinks outside the venue/ foyer as we have done before.

Monday 5th February 2024
Veronica del Cerro will be leading a play reading evening at Keto Royale Kafe in San Pedro on Monday 5th February 2024. We are meeting at 6.30 pm for a 7pm start. Bookings can be made online, tickets are 9€ for members and 11€ for non-members. This includes room hire, booking fee and nibbles and snacks. Bookings will open on 18th January 2024.

Play reading evenings are great fun, with a chance to read a part, or you can simply watch, listen and enjoy.

Keto is a small venue and seats 40 maximum but we also need a minimum of 30 to make it a viable event.

Webmaster needed!
Our absolutely wonderful webmaster Nina, is retiring from the role after many years of working with us. She has always worked remotely supporting all things information technology, designing our website, setting up our online bookings, sending out our communications, and problem-solving any technical issues that occur.

The role is autonomous, we pay for the tasks completed. The webmaster and our secretary, Ruth, work very closely together and we need a person with an ability to populate the website using the information provided by Ruth. The person needs to be responsive, have an eye for detail, have a working knowledge of the Joomla system, and be good at problem-solving technical issues.

We are seeking a suitable replacement to start as soon as possible. Nina will give her support to Ruth and the new webmaster for as long as needed.

If you may be interested and want more information, please email Ruth at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
