Dear Friend and Supporter

Membership is due ...

Our membership runs from January to December.
The fee is very low at 15€ per person or 20€ per two people at the same address.
You can join or renew online via our website, or you can pay at one of our events. Please bring the correct change if you intend to do this.
Please renew soon so that you can take advantage of the savings on ticket prices, as seen below.
Joining our membership helps us with the two biggest expenses; our storage costs and our insurance costs.
In return, you receive discounted tickets for all events. Plus, only paid up members are allowed to act with us.
Janet Barnett, our membership secretary, can answer any questions you may have.

Wednesday 13th March 2024 - "Educating Rita" - Rehearsed Play Reading

We have the performing rights for "Educating Rita" written by Willy Russell, by arrangement with Concord Theatricals Ltd on behalf of Samuel French Ltd.

This is a witty yet poignant look at a working class woman's attempt to change her social circumstances through an Open University qualification. Rita is a hairdresser married to Lenny and living around the corner from her family.
The play is a two-hander with Rita and a lecturer, Frank.
It was written in 1980 by Willy Russell and made into a film in 1983. The play will have you laughing and crying in quick succession. Rita will be played by Sheila Mellor and Frank will be played by Bernie Murray.

Sheila Mellor will direct it at El Trapiche Cultural Centre in San Pedro.
It is a rehearsed play reading. We are meeting at 7.15 pm for an 8pm curtain.

Entry is by donation and we suggest 10€ for paid-up ITS members and 12€ for non-members. Please donate online on our tickets page and receive your reservation receipt.

The venue does not have a bar but we will be offering drinks for a small donation on the night, thanks to Fiona Poole for organising this.

Annual General Meeting

Our meeting with members for 2024 will be held on Wednesday 20th March at The Atalaya Golf and Country Club.
Arrival will be 6.45 pm for a 7.30pm start.
The meeting will last for approximately one hour, followed by a complementary pizza supper for paid-up ITS members.
The full papers will be circulated nearer the time.

The next play reading 10th April 2024

Beverley and Jamie Stonehewer have offered to lead our next play reading evening at Keto Royale Kafe on Wednesday 10th April 2024 at 6.30pm for a 7pm curtain.
This is your chance to read a part or simply sit, listen and enjoy. Tickets are 9€ for members and 11€ for non-members.
This includes room hire, booking fee and snacks and nibbles.
Play reading evenings are great fun, with a chance to read a part, or you can simply watch, listen and enjoy.
If you are interested in auditions, this is an opportunity to get yourself seen and heard in different roles.
Keto is a small venue and seats 40 maximum but we also need a minimum of 30 to make it a viable event.
These evenings are great fun and highly recommended.
Bookings are now open
