Annual Recognition

Unsung Hero...

Janet Barnett, she is always our first volunteer and is always organising things quietly and efficiently behind the scenes. In her role as membership secretary, she has done a sterling job in warmly greeting new and established members. She has mastered new technology and taken charge of our new bookings system at the door. She is just a brilliant team player. Whether Janet is onstage, backstage or front of house, we know that everything will be taken good care of

Peter Brookes “the Boat”, for his work with Karl. Peter has been quietly involved with ITS for as few years now and has become Karl’s righthand man. I don’t think Karl would have continued set building without the support from Peter. We have a lot to thank him for!

Going Above & Beyond...

Sheila Mellor
Sheila is involved in almost everything that we do. She is another of our ready volunteers and she will take on any role and do it very well. She relishes new challenges and is full of good ideas. Sheila is, with doubt, a woman of many talents.

Fiona Pool
Fiona has been involved in so many things, from publicity to being part of the team bringing the Lark to stage. She brings a lot of talents to us and we’re fortunate to have her. Her work on branding each event is just brilliant.

Director´s Award...

Peter Brooks nominates ...

Paloma Salgado for prompting Abigail’s Party so brilliantly. It is one of the hardest jobs to do on stage or off, but she did it superbly. Not only is

she a great actor but also one of our most active producers. She is utterly reliable and so talented.

Andrea Stevens nominates ...

Actor Paul Baker for his brilliant comedy role in Four Old Broads

Sheila Mellor nominates ...

Actor Hannah Murray for her wonderful portrayal of Beverly, the main character in Abigail’s party

Martin Curd nominates ...

Ruth Baldwin for her outstanding dedication in learning the lines and picking up the character of PC plod in “Inspector Drake and the Perfekt Crime” in a short space of time.

Producer’s award...

Andrea Stevens for her role as producer for Abigail’s party. She created one of the best sets we have ever had, meticulously searching for and finding authentic props and artefacts. She fulfilled the role of producer superbly and ensured that backstage ran perfectly

Presidents Award...

Peter Brooks for the many excellent plays he has directed for us over the years. When we were going through all the plays when planning our 50th Anniversary, it seemed like every play had been directed by him.

Ruth Baldwin, in recognition of her ongoing and un-ending support of the board and her dedication to the group

Outstanding Newcomer...

Actor Eleanor Schuman for Angela Cooper in “Abigail’s Party”

Outstanding Performance...

PJ Lopez for his wonderful performance as Laurence Moss in “Abigail’s Party”

Actor Ruth Baldwin for Inspector Drake and the Perfket Crime. As mentioned before, Ruth not only leaned the lines, got the character, but also gave a mesmerising performance in her portrayal of the hapless PC Plot.
