Ticket Refund Policy

Background

We are a non-profit organization, established in 1975, dedicated to providing theatre and dramatic activities for the public. While we do not have our own venue, we rely on the generosity of local spaces to host our events.

For plays performed in hotels, we pay a fee for the use of the premises. All our actors, backstage crew, and volunteers contribute their time and skills without compensation.

Since 2019, we have been using an online ticketing system, through which a small percentage of each sale is paid to the ticketing provider. Each event has a limited number of seats, determined by the health and safety regulations of the respective venue, and we are unable to exceed this capacity.

Please note that we do not offer numbered seating. Instead, seating operates on a first-come, first-served basis. At this time, none of our venues feature traditional theatre seating or tiered arrangements.

Our ticket prices are kept affordable to ensure that theatre remains accessible to as many people as possible. Additionally, our members are entitled to discounted tickets for their own use.

Terms and Conditions

If we need to cancel a performance due to exceptional circumstances, we will offer a full refund upon request, or, if preferred, we can transfer the ticket to a future event or another performance.

If a ticket holder wishes to cancel their ticket, they must provide at least 14 days' notice prior to the event. In this case, the booking fee (2€ per ticket) will be deducted from the refund.

We can attempt to resell a returned ticket on the purchaser’s behalf, though we cannot guarantee success. Alternatively, the purchaser may resell the ticket themselves if possible.

Please note that we cannot issue refunds for any cancellations made with less than 14 days’ notice.

The reason for this strict policy is purely logistical and financial. As an entirely volunteer-run organization, we provide venues with accurate attendance figures based on ticket sales, and we do not have the resources to manage late cancellations.

Our financial records are publicly available on our website.

Sincerely,
The Board of ITS,
