ITS Christmas Celebration Evening

This will be held at La Grappa Restaurant on Friday 13th December. This is usually a great social night out, with food, drinks and light entertainment. We have gone for a bigger venue this year to avoid disappointment for those who have previously not managed to get in. Menu and price will follow soon. Please reserve the date!

Entertaining Mr Sloane” by Joe Orton – Directed by Martin Curd

The youth Sloane comes in search of a room.  Seduced by the landlady, he subsequently meets her brother who sets about gaining the youth’s affections.  Their father believes he witnessed the youth committing a murder so Sloane kicks him to death. Knowing what’s been done, the sister and the brother agree to leverage the situation and share Sloanes “company” for six months each, each year.  Written in 1963 this is one of Joe Orton’s most famous plays.  It has been staged many, many times over the years and was also adapted for screen.

“An Inspector Calls” by J B Priestley – Directed by Peter Brooks

Priestley's classic play of the believable middle-class family called to account for its moral crimes by the enigmatic Inspector Goole stands as a metaphor for our own failure to accept our responsibility to others. Stunningly revived by the Royal National Theatre in 1992, the production transferred to the West End the following year.
